LCMA Festival Band
The LCMA Festival Band is a loose knit group of musicians from different bands and ensembles throughout the area that get together on an ad hoc basis to play for various charity events. For example, the MS Society 5/10K Walk MS; American Lung Association 5/10K Run-the-Rocks; American Heart Association 5/10K Heart Walk.
Our book has levels 2 and 3 songs in it which most musicians are able to sight read. We don’t rehearse or practice together. All are welcome, we do not have auditions. There are no uniforms or dues. Not everyone can make all the gigs and that is understood.
We are not paid other than coffee, doughnuts and juice and an occasional free T-shirt at the events. The friendship and camaraderie of your fellow musicians makes these gigs special. We have a lot of fun at our concerts.
